Ms. Kennedy is a native of New Mexico. She earned her degree at Sam Houston State University. She was a Communications Officer in the Army Reserves for more than eight years. She has lived in the Houston area for the past 20 years. 

Ms. Kennedy was an enthusiastic and dedicated science teacher at Burbank for 3 years, and now she will be equally enthusiastic and dedicated in the Special Education Department as an in-classroom support teacher. She always wants her students to know that she will always have their education and well-being as her top priorities.

Ms. Kennedy was elected 2021-2022 Burbank Middle School Beginner Teacher of the Year!
