Mrs. Garza is a native Houstonian, growing up near Hobby Airport. She moved to Arkansas to attend the University of Central Arkansas where she earned her BSE in Middle Level Education and her MSE in Education Theory and Practice. She lived in Arkansas for a number of years until she and her husband moved back home to Houston in late 2019. She has a son and two dogs who keep her busy when she's at home.

In her spare time, Mrs. Garza enjoys doing crafty things and reading. She believes that reading is very important because it is a refuge and a hub for learning about people, places, and ideas.

At Burbank, Mrs. Garza is our School Librarian as well as being a Computer Concepts teacher. She is looking forward to helping students find books with which they can connect and enjoy.
