Mathematics, 6th Grade Excel Academy

Mrs. Hudson is from Lancaster, PA where she attended local public schools. She moved to Pittsburgh to study Architecture at Carnegie Mellon University. After college, Mrs. Hudson worked in an architectural concrete design lab to develop custom colors and textures of UHPC.
While she enjoyed applying her creative and technical skills in the industry, Mrs. Hudson shifted careers to use her skills in the local community. For several years she taught STEM and Art/Architecture youth programs in neighborhood non-profits, schools, and the Carnegie Museum of Art, where her love for learning and teaching grew.
Mrs. Hudson moved to Houston when her husband joined the Bagpipe department at St. Thomas Episcopal School. She found a home at Burbank and is grateful to be a part of both 6th Grade Excel and the math department, where her teammates support each other to give 110% every day. She hopes that students will leave her class as empowered learners and better citizens. In her free time Mrs. Hudson enjoys cooking, reading, and the great outdoors.
