BURBANK MIDDLE SCHOOL TECH CLASS IS TOPS!

Burbank Middle School has been given a wonderful acknowledgment by HISD. One of our Technology Classes has been featured in an article in the February 26th edition of the HISD News Blog, which you can read by clicking the following link:

HISD students focus on the future in unique Technology Applications elective

The story is about Mr. Luviano's Technology Applications class. It opens a window to the activities in which students are involved. This is a class where our students not only learn how to speak and conduct themselves in front of a camera, but how to interview people. They learn about shot composition and how to connect it to a story. They also learn how to use the equipment needed to produce the segment.

One visible and practical product of this endeavor is The Burbank Show, which is a running diary of events and happenings at Burbank and sometimes even beyond.

Under the direction of Mr. Sergio Luviano, this student-centered show has its own section on our website and is now in its fourth year of production. You can find all current and past episodes by pressing The Burbank Show.
