MEET THE TEACHER

Burbank Middle School had its "Meet the Teacher Night" welcome assembly in the school auditorium on the evening of August 29, 2024. Our Principal Mr. David Knittle was on hand to welcome our parents and students and speak about the excellent programs that we have in our school. He also introduced the members of our administration as well as our counseling department. Each grade level in our school has a dedicated team ready to address their needs, and this was the opportunity for our parents to meet and greet them personally.

After the welcome and introductions, our Magnet Coordinator and Title I Coordinator, Ms. Amanda Vasquez, gave a presentation about the Title I Program to our parents. She spoke of all the services and advantages that our students have precisely because our school is a Title I school. There will be three additional meetings throughout the years, and Ms. Vasquez encouraged everyone to attend. 

Once the presentations concluded, our parents were able to go around the school and visit their children's teachers. They were waiting to meet them in their respective class, they were also able to visit with the PTO in their booth as well as speak with the personnel from the Memorial Hermann Clinic. This is a neighborhood clinic which is housed on our campus and our students can make full use of their services.

Judging by this evening's wonderful attendance, it looks like this will be a great year for Burbank Middle School. We hope to continue having our parents visit us, especially during the monthly Coffee with the Principal meetings.
