As a Language Arts teacher, Ms. Ruiz encourages her students' creativity, innovative thinking, and excitement for learning. She provides opportunities for her students to experience success and work towards reaching their potential. She encourages pride in work, mutual respect, perseverance, and rigor in her classes. 

As an experienced educator and parent, she is aware of the habits of mind such as hard work, responsibility to one's self and others, and setting goals, required to achieve success in and out of the classroom.
