A graduate of Lamar University in Beaumont, TX, Ms. Weeks holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Technology Leadership, a Bachelor of Arts in History with a Minor in English, and a creative writing certificate. She is certified to teach AP/Pre-AP English Language Arts through the University of Houston and AP US History through Rice University’s Glasscock Institute. Ms. Weeks has seventeen years of secondary teaching experience, with thirteen years at the high school level and five years at the middle school level (all of which are at Burbank Middle School).

Ms. Weeks is the Eighth Grade Vanguard Cluster Leader, She is also the Creative Writing teacher, and is in the process of developing Burbank's Literary Magazine which will be called "Wingspan".

Ms. Weeks is committed to stretching her students to reach their full potential. She believes that hard work and dedication create success no matter your circumstances or where you are from. She knows that a positive attitude is a little thing that can make a big difference.
