6th Grade Counselor

Hello Everyone! My name is Frances Cortina and I graduated from the University of Houston-Downtown Campus with a Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. I have earned a Master of Education Degree in School Counseling and Special Populations from Lamar University. I am so excited to be able to sharpen my skills and techniques to better my job in doing what I love best, impacting the lives and serving the needs of children!

I have worked at Burbank for 23 years, teaching for 15 of those years. I am currently the sixth (6) Grade Counselor.

I am so fortunate to be part of a great team of educators here at Burbank Middle School, which is The Best School with The Best Dual Language and Vanguard Programs in the district! I look forward to a wonderful and promising school year, in which we will thrive academically.
