    Osama Arif—Bellaire High School

    Osama Arif lists his favorite subject as Advanced Placement macroeconomics. He is a member of the National Honor Society, the Student Council, and the Arabic Club. He is also active as a peer tutor, a community volunteer, and in the Muslim Student Association.  

    Arif received instruction in Dubai and at Briarmeadow Charter School before coming to Bellaire. He plans to pursue a degree in computer science or economics at Harvard University. In his spare time, Arif enjoys reading, playing tennis, and listening to music.

    Pooja Prasad is amember of the Science Fair Club, Debate Club, and National Honor Society. Sheis also active on the junior varsity basketball team, and she serves as avolunteer at local museums and hospitals. Prasad has beenrecognized for her outstanding performance at the Intel International Scienceand Engineering Fair and Odyssey of the Mind competitions.

    In her spare time, Prasadenjoys reading, conducting scientific research, and playing basketball. Shelists her favorite subject as biology, and says she plans to attend Rice,Stanford, or Washington University to pursue a degree in neurobiology. Aproduct of HISD, she attended T. H. Rogers before coming to Bellaire.
