Overview

  • The Board Monitoring System was used over the course of several years. It has been replaced by Lone Star Governance and that system's progress monitoring reports.

The Board of Education created the Board Monitoring System as a mechanism to measure the district's progress in achieving goals outlined in the board's 2010 Declaration of Beliefs and Visions. It established a schedule of detailed reporting to the board and community on the district's efforts and effective use of taxpayer dollars to meet the district's facilities standards, and evaluate all major programs and services.

In January 2013, the Board of Education approved changes to the Board Monitoring System. Specific, actionable measures were provided to the board on an annually recurring basis for ongoing monitoring and trend reporting in the areas of rigorous education in reading and math, consistency, and safety. The intent was to provide a holistic view of the district.
