The primary responsibility of the Office of Special Populations is to provide quality programs and services to diverse groups of students that promote equity, success, and contribute to preparing students who are members of special populations for college and or careers. We ensure district and campus leaders are provided with the appropriate resources, services, and programs available for students identified as EL, Immigrant, Refugee, Migrant, GT, SPED, SEL and students referred to IAT.
PARENT LAB SERIES SCHEDULE
The OFFICE OF SPECIAL POPULATIONS is excited to launch the Parent Lab series! Our main goal is to establish a system-wide approach to equip parents with knowledge, tools and resources to foster high levels of academic engagement and success.
Senior Managers and Specialists will host focused individualized "Parent Labs" by disability area or special population. The 30-minute sessions will be informative and interactive; they are designed to inform and empower our families as we approach the start of school. While the sessions are designed for parents, new teachers and other staff stakeholders are invited to join!
Download the full list of live chat sessions. Please scroll down to find the individual join link to participate in the sessions of your choice. We ask each parent to complete a brief feedback survey at the end of each session to provide input on future programming.
