The Ethics & Compliance Office is responsible for the design and overall effectiveness of the system of internal controls and compliance framework that supports ethical compliance with laws, regulations, policies and procedures. The Ethics & Compliance Office also supervises the E-Rate Compliance Program and ensures its effectiveness.

Using the compliance framework and working in conjunction with HISD staff, the Ethics & Compliance Office monitors compliance, assists in the development of training, and actively works to promote an ethical atmosphere within the entire district. Additionally, the Ethics & Compliance Office serves as a resource for the entire HISD community by answering questions related to Ethics & Compliance to ensure questions do not escalate into concerns.
