    Felipe Guillen—Chávez High School

     

    Felipe Guillen, who lists his favorite subjects as history and Spanish, is a member of the National Honor Society, the English National Honor Society, and the Spanish National Honor Society. He has also been active in Interact (a service club affiliated with Rotary International) and the EMERGE program.

     

    Guillen is a product of Brookline Elementary and Stevenson Middle schools. He enjoys cooking, reading, and learning new things. Guillen has been recognized as an Advanced Placement Scholar with Distinction and included on the Dean’s List. He plans to pursue a degree in history, Spanish, linguistics, Latin American studies, or education at Brown University.

    Janet Nieto—Chávez High School

     

    Janet Nieto, who lists English as her favorite subject, attended J. P. Henderson Elementary and Jackson and Stevenson Middle schools before graduating from Chávez. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, and History Honor Society. She is also active in Health Occupation Students of America, the Prep Advisory Council, and the EMERGE program.

     

    Nieto is an Advanced Placement Scholar with Honor who has been included on the Dean’s List and recognized for her performance in history, writing, and Spanish. She lists reading, watching movies, and spending time with friends as some of her hobbies, and she plans to pursue a degree in international relations at Tufts University.
