Darryl Beronque
Darryl Beronque—Eastwood Academy
Darryl Beronque attended Briarmeadow Elementary and Ryan Middle schools before graduating from Eastwood. He is an Advanced Placement Scholar with Distinction who has been recognized for his performance in debate and engineering. Beronque plans to attend the University of Pennsylvania and major in mechanical engineering. He says his favorite subject is physics.
Beronque is a member of the National Honor Society, the National Science Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta (a mathematics honor society), and the Student Council. He is also active in the Running Club, Students with Academic Grit, and the debate and science quiz bowl teams. In his spare time, Beronque enjoys exercising and playing basketball and video games.
Bryce LindseyBryce Lindsey—Eastwood Academy
Bryce Lindsey will pursue a degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Virginia using the POSSE Foundation Scholarship she received. She lists her favorite subject as calculus, and she has served as president of both the National Honor Society and Robotics Club. She has also been active on the InvenTeam, whose goal is to create a prototype of a non-electric refrigerator.
Lindsey attended schools in Austin ISD before coming to Eastwood. She has been recognized for her performance in robotics, public speaking, and science, and she received a grant to study abroad in India from the U.S. Department of State. In her spare time, Lindsey enjoys building robots and volunteering for Planned Parenthood and the Democratic Party.
