    Timothy Viesca—Madison High School

    Timothy Viesca attended Almeda Elementary and Dowling Middle schools before coming to Madison. He is a member of the National Honor Society, the National Technical Honor Society, and Business Professionals of America. He has also been active in the Magnet Club.

    Viesca plans to study computer science at the University of Houston, using the Academic Excellence Scholarship he received. He has been recognized for his performance in math and accounting, and he describes his favorite subjects as “anything having to do with mathematics and computers.” In his spare time, Viesca enjoys singing, volunteering, and programming computers.

    Sharon Nguyen—Madison High School

    Sharon Nguyen attended Almeda Elementary and Woodson Middle schools before coming to Madison. She is active in the Drama Club, Sign Language Club, Dragon Boat Regatta Club, and volleyball team. She is also a member of Business Professionals of America, Future Farmers of America, National Honor Society, and National Technical Honor Society.

    Nguyen plans to study animal science at Texas A&M University using the Challenge, Study Abroad, and Recreation Teen Leadership scholarships she has received. She is also the recipient of the Houston Parks & Recreation Department’s Citizenship Award. Nguyen lists her favorite subjects as mathematics and biology, and in her spare time, she enjoys helping others, playing the violin, and learning to sew.
