    Minh Thu Nguyen—Westside High School

    Minh Thu Nguyen is a member of the Math and Science Honor Society, Ecology Club, and Student Council. She also serves as president of the National Honor Society. Nguyen attended schools in Vietnam and Aldine ISD before coming to Westside, and she hopes to pursue a degree in biomedical engineering at Rice University.

    Nguyen is an Advanced Placement Scholar with Distinction who has been recognized at the regional, state, and national levels for her work through the Scholastic Art and Writing awards and the Visual Arts Scholastic Event. She lists her favorite subject as science, and a few of her hobbies are drawing, reading, and cooking.

    Lilian Qi—Westside High School

    Lilian Qi attended schools in China before enrolling at Westside. She plans to attend Brown University and the Rhode Island School of Design this fall through their dual-degree program. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Math and Science Honor Society, and Ecology Club. Qi lists her favorite subject as biology.

    Qi is an Advanced Placement Scholar with Distinction and a National Merit Commended Scholar who has been recognized at the regional, state, and national levels for her work through the Scholastic Art and Writing awards, Visual Arts Scholastic Event, University Interscholastic League competitions.
