HISD Summer Camps

Health/PE - Angler Education- Learn to Fish
June 6 – June 27

Students will learn skills in knot tying, casting, basic tackle and rig setup, Texas angling laws and regulations, types of bait, cleaning fish, and selecting the proper equipment etc.,

Grade Levels: 6-12

Health/PE - Archery
June 6 – June 27

Students will learn basic knowledge and skills for the 11 steps of Archery.

STEM Camp – robotics, coding, etc.
June 10-13 and June 17-20

The STEM students will learn coding during the first week and will apply the skills they learned through a STEM-centered project.

Fine Arts
June 3 - June 27

The HISD Fine Arts Camp is an opportunity for students to be involved in an array of age-appropriate art experiences ranging from Dance, Music, Theatre, and Visual Arts. Fine Arts curriculum-based learning is combined with exciting and engaging instruction to grow our young performers and artists to enhance their cultural sensitivity and awareness.

Athletics
June 3 - June 27

Each Sport will host a four-week (four day) camp at each location:

Basketball – Pavilion; Baseball – Butler; Softball – Butler; Football – Delmar; Volleyball – Barnett; Soccer – Butler; Track – Barnett; Swimming – Lamar; Tennis – Westbury; Golf – First Tee, 8400 Mykawa Rd., Houston, TX 77048

Note: Golf will be held 3 days a week Tuesday - Thursday
