    Weiting Ji—Bellaire High School

    Weiting Ji lists her favorite subject as economics, which she plans to study along with politics and mathematics at Williams College. She is a recipient of a National Merit Scholarship, a Phi Beta Kappa Scholarship, a Mary Gibbs Jones Scholarship from the Houston Endowment, and a Presidential Scholarship from the University of Texas. Ji has also been recognized as an Advanced Placement Scholar with Distinction and through the Texas Financial Literacy and Economics Challenge.

    Ji attended Condit Elementary School and T.H. Rogers before coming to Bellaire. She is a member of the National Chinese Honor Society, the debate team, and the varsity swim team. She is also active in student government. In her spare time, Ji enjoys reading, swimming, and riding bicycles.

    Xin Xin Xu lists her favorite subjects as art and mathematics, and she plans to major in economics at Yale University, Columbia University, or University College London. She attended River Oaks Elementary and Lanier Middle Schools before graduating from Bellaire. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, reading, and playing golf.

    Xu is a member of the National Honor Society, the debate team, and the German Club. She is also active in the Art Club, the Engineering Club, and the Psychology Club. She is the recipient of both Gold and Silver Key awards from Scholastic, a bronze Congressional Award, and a silver Presidential Volunteer Service Award.
