    Chiquita Demas

    Chiquita Demas, who completed her high school education in just three years, is a product of HISD's McDade Elementary and a private charter school. She serves as president of the Yearbook Club and plans to pursue a degree in nursing from Lamar University this fall.

    Demas lists her favorite subjects as science and English. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, listening to music, and spending time with her friends and family.

    Jasmin Romo—DeVry Advantage Academy at CLC

    A product of HISD, Jasmin Romo attended Bruce Elementary and Hogg Middle Schools before coming to the DeVry Advantage Academy at the Contemporary Learning Center. She lists her favorite subject as English, and she plans to pursue a degree in nursing at Houston Community College.

    Romo has been active in the Real Women Read program at her school for the past three years. She is also a member of her school's volleyball team. In her spare time, Romo likes to dance and play volleyball and basketball.
