Alexander Kampf—High School for Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice
Alexander KampfAlexander Kampf attended River Oaks Elementary and Lanier Middle Schools before graduating from HSLECJ. He is a member of the National Honor Society, the Youth Police Advisory Council, and the Student Council. He is also active in the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps and the Law Enforcement Explorers, and he serves as a volunteer with the City of Southside Place Fire Department.
Kampf lists law enforcement as his favorite subject and says he plans to study criminal justice at Sam Houston State University using the Metropolitan Scholarship he received from the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. He has earned numerous awards and recognitions for his performance in JROTC and the Explorers. In his spare time, Kampf enjoys boxing, playing golf, and target-shooting.
Monica NievesMonica Nieves—High School for Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice
Monica Nieves plans to study Asian cultures and languages at the University of Texas at Austin. A product of HISD, she attended Carrillo Elementary and Jackson Middle School before coming to HSLECJ. Nieves lists calculus as her favorite subject, and in her spare time, she enjoys reading, listening to music, and watching foreign movies.
Nieves is active in the Chess Club, Business Professionals and America, and the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC). She is also a member of the literary magazine staff. Nieves has been recognized for her performance in French and JROTC competitions.
