Michelle Garnadi—International High School at Sharpstown

Michelle Garnadi lists her favorite subject as science, and she plans to pursue a degree in pharmacy at the University of Texas at Austin using the Presidential Scholarship she received. She has been active on her school's Yearbook Club and Community Service Club, and she is a member of the National Honor Society.

Garnadi attended schools in Indonesia before coming to IHSS. The Honor Roll student has received scholarship offers totaling more than $200,000 from organizations such as the Haraldson Foundation, the Gee Family Foundation, and Phi Beta Kappa. In her spare time, Garnadi enjoys traveling, playing on the web, and spending time with her friends and family.

Christina Tran

Christina Tran—International High School at Sharpstown

Christina Tran plans to major in accounting at the University of Houston by focusing on her favorite subject: mathematics. Before coming to IHSS, she attended Neff Elementary and Sharpstown Middle Schools.

Tran has been active in the Fashion Club, the Wolf Pack Club, and the Dance Club. She has been included on her school's Honor Roll, and has also been recognized for demonstrating good citizenship and for maintaining a perfect attendance record. Tran's hobbies include reading, decorating, and craft-making.
