    Kainat Pasha

     

    Kainat Pasha, who enjoys running, watching medical dramas, and spending time with friends and family, attended Piney Point Elementary and Revere Middle Schools before coming to Lee. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, Health Occupation Students of America, and the Ecology Club. She is also active in debate competitions and serves as secretary of the Young Democrats and Republicans Club.

    Pasha lists her favorite class as biology, which she intends to study in the pursuit of a pre-medicine degree from the University of Houston. The Advanced Placement Scholar has been recognized for her performance in debate, science, and forensic medicine. Pasha has received scholarship offers from Phi Beta Kappa, Houston Baptist University, and the University of Houston.

    Meron Haile—Lee High School

    Meron Haile plans to study biology at either Texas A&M University or Texas Southern University using the Mary Gibbs Jones Scholarship she received from the Houston Endowment. She attended a primary school in Germany and Long Middle School before coming to Lee. Haile lists her favorite subjects as calculus and anatomy. In her spare time, the Honor Roll student enjoys playing volleyball, listening to music, and helping others.

    Haile has been active in the Math Club, the Red Cross Club, Upward Bound, and the Teens Helping All Teens Club (a public service organization). She also serves as president of the National Honor Society and she is a member of the varsity teams in both volleyball and basketball. Haile earn first place in the science fair at the local level, and second place at the regional level. She has also received awards for sportsmanship and her performance in volleyball.
