    Quyen Ngoc Le

    Quyen Ngoc Le is a member of the National Honor Society, the Magnet Leadership Academy, and the marching/concert band. He also serves as treasurer of the American Red Cross Club. Le attended Bonham Elementary and Sharpstown Middle Schools. He plans to attend the University of Houston, where he will study electrical engineering using the Jesse H. Jones and Gee Family Association Education Fund Scholarships he received.

    Le lists his favorite subjects as calculus and physics. He has been recognized for his exemplary performance in both martial arts and University Interscholastic League competitions, and he was named the Most Outstanding Student of the Year in May of 2009. In his spare time, Le enjoys painting, playing the piano, and performing traditional Lunar New Year (lion) dances.

    Yoselin Guevara

    Yoselin Guevara—Sharpstown High School

    Yoselin Guevara came to the New Aspirations Academy after attending Neff Elementary and Sharpstown Middle Schools. She plans to attend the University of Houston, where she will pursue a teaching degree in her favorite subject: mathematics. In her spare time, Guevara enjoys drawing, baking, and solving puzzles.

    Guevara is the recipient of numerous leadership awards from her school. She is active in Teen Battle Chef, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and as a volunteer at various local organizations. The Honor Roll student is also a member of the varsity volleyball team, the National Honor Society, the yearbook staff, and G-Force (a college outreach program).
