    Iannellee Garza—Austin High School

     

    Iannellee Garza, who plans to major in biology at the University of Texas at Austin, attended schools in La Joya ISD before coming to Austin. She is a member of her school’s National Honor Society and Science Club. She is also active in the Sea Scouts and the Harrisburg Rotary.

     

    In her spare time, Garza enjoys reading, sailing, and traveling. She lists her favorite subject as European history, and she was included on her school’s Honor Roll. Garza has received scholarship offers from Texas A&M University, the Houston Endowment, the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, and the U.S. Navy.

    Cristian Gonzalez—Austin High School

     

    Cristian Gonzalez is member of the National Honor Society, the Student Council, the Science Club, and the Spanish Club. He is also active in Sea Scouts and the Harrisburg Rotary Club. Gonzalez attended Mitchell Elementary and Edison Middle schools before graduating from Austin. He lists his favorite subjects as science and mathematics and in his spare time, he enjoys exploring the mysteries of life and making new friends.

     

    Gonzalez plans to attend the University of Houston, where he will use the Camp Allen, Cappex, Haraldson Foundation, Houston Endowment, and Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Scholarships he received to study biomedical engineering. The Honor Roll student has received first-place honors in the CSTEM Break for Robotics and Skills USA competitions, and he has also been recognized for maintaining a perfect attendance record.
