Priscilla Ruiz
Priscilla Ruiz—Challenge Early College High School
A product of HISD, Priscilla Ruiz attended The Rice School before coming to CECHS. She is a member of the Ambassadors’ Club and serves as parliamentarian of the Student Council. Ruiz lists her favorite subjects as English and psychology, and she plans to pursue a degree in organizational leadership at Texas A&M University this fall. In her spare time, Ruiz enjoys reading, writing novels, and baking.
Ruiz has been named a National Hispanic Scholar, a National Merit Scholar, and an Advanced Placement Scholar. She is also the recipient of an Opportunity Scholarship from Texas A&M University, an Aggie Scholarship from the Greater Texas Foundation, and a Metropolitan Scholarship from the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo.
Daniela ZúñigaDaniela Zúñiga—Challenge Early College High School
Daniela Zúñiga plans to attend the University of Texas at Austin and major in chemical engineering. She is a member of the Ambassadors’ Club, and she lists her favorite subject as mathematics.
Zúñiga has been named an Advanced Placement Scholar with Honors and a National Hispanic Scholar. She attended Sutton Elementary and Long Middle schools before coming to Challenge. In her spare time, Zúñiga enjoys reading, drawing, and solving jigsaw puzzles.
