    Isabella Serrato—Chávez High School

     

    Isabella Serrato attended Patterson Elementary and Stevenson Middle schools before graduating from Chávez. She enjoys reading, dancing, and playing volleyball in her spare time. Serrato lists her favorite subject as U.S. history. She plans to attend the University of Texas and major in petroleum engineering.

     

    Serrato is a member of the National Honor Society and the History Honor Society. She is also active on her school’s varsity volleyball and softball teams, through which she has been named Most Valuable Player and All-Tournament Player. Serrato is the recipient of a Metropolitan Scholarship from the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo.

    Elia Soto plans to attend St. Mary’s University and pursue a degree in English. A product of HISD, she attended Rucker Elementary and Stevenson Middle schools before coming to Chávez.

     

    Soto has received recognition through the Duke University Talent Identification Program, which serves gifted and talented young people. In her free time, Rodríguez enjoys blogging, reading, and playing video games. She lists her favorite subject as art.
