    DonLeon Allen—Hope Academy

     

    DonLeon Allen intends to study business finance at either Lamar University or the University of Houston. He attended elementary school in La Marque ISD and the High School Ahead Academy before coming to Hope, where he has been active in the Newsletter Club, Habitat for Humanity, and the Texas Business Alliance’s Youth Entrepreneurship Academy.

     

    Allen lists his favorite subjects as mathematics and science, and some of his hobbies as boxing and taking care of children. He was a member of the National Junior Honor Society and a recipient of his school’s Martin Luther King Jr. Award for excellence in public speaking.

    Dominique Polk—Hope Academy

     

    Dominique Polk attended private schools before graduating from the Hope Academy. He has been active on the basketball team, Kids in Training, and the drum line.

    Polk plans to pursue a degree in military science from the University of Houston, with an eye toward a career in the U.S Air Force. He lists his favorite subjects as English and writing, and some of his interests as playing basketball and participating in track and field events.
