    Makda Kibremesgana-Tekie—Liberty High School

     

    Makda Kibremesgana-Tekie lists her favorite subjects as science, English, and mathematics. She is on her school’s Honor Roll and she has received recognition for maintaining a perfect attendance record. Kibremesgana-Tekie plans to attend Texas A&M University to study pharmaceutical science.

     

    Kibremesgana-Tekie received instruction at schools in East Africa before coming to Liberty High School. She is the recipient of a Jones Scholarship from the Houston Endowment and an Aggie Scholarship from Texas A&M University. When not studying, Kibremesgana-Tekie enjoys playing tennis, volleyball, and soccer.

    Katerin Aguiluz Flores—Liberty High School

     

    Katerin Aguiluz Flores intends to study marketing at the University of Houston Downtown. She received instruction at schools in El Salvador before coming to Liberty High School, where she is an active member of the Student Council.

     

    Aguiluz Flores lists her favorite subjects as mathematics and journalism, and says enjoys singing and photography in her spare time. She is also the recipient of a Jones Scholarship from the Houston Endowment, and she has been included on her school’s Honor Roll.
