    Keilon Robinson Jr.—Madison High School

     

    Keilon Robinson Jr., who enjoys volunteering, listening to music, and competing in debate tournaments, attended Grissom Elementary and Dowling Middle schools before coming to Madison. He lists his favorite subjects as mathematics and science, and he plans to pursue a degree in petroleum engineering at the University of Houston.

     

    Robinson is a member of Sentinel Future Farmers of America, the National Technical Honor Society, the debate team, the varsity choir, and the Name That Book Club. He has also served as president of Business Professionals of America, vice president of the National Honor Society, and a gold senior member of the National Forensic League. Robison is the recipient of scholarships from Business Professionals of America, the Houston Endowment, the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, and Burger King.

    Sahara Acosta—Madison High School

     

    Sahara Acosta attended schools in Needville ISD before coming to Madison. She is a member of Future Farmers of America, the Name That Book Club, and the debate, soccer, and volleyball teams. She also serves as president of the National Honor Society, the National Technical Honor Society, Student Council, and the Fashion Club. In her spare time, Acosta enjoys scrapbooking, visiting art museums, and competing in poetry slams.

     

    Acosta plans to pursue a double major in law and psychology at the University of Houston or Houston Baptist University. She lists her favorite subjects as English and Spanish literature. Acosta has been recognized for her outstanding performance in writing, debate, and poetry. She is the recipient of an Academic Excellence Scholarship from the University of Houston.
