    Konstantinos Varvarezos—Westside High School

     

    Konstantinos Varvarezos has been active in the National Honor Society, the Quiz Bowl, and the Young Democrats. He lists his favorite subject as mathematics, which he will study alongside physics at Rice University this fall using the National Merit, Phi Beta Kappa, and Hellenic Professional Society of Texas Scholarships he has received.

     

    Varvarezos was named an Advanced Placement Scholar after earning the top score of “5” on 11 of the 12 Advanced Placement exams he took. He has also been recognized as the district champion in science, math, and computer science through University Interscholastic League competitions. Varvarezos attended several HISD elementary schools and T. H. Rogers Middle School before coming to Westside. In his spare time, Varvarezos enjoys playing soccer, the piano, and ping-pong.

    Brittany Trinh—Westside High School

     

    Brittany Trinh is a member of the National Honor Society, the Eco Club, Young Life, and the Health Occupations Students of America Club. She plans to attend the University of Texas at Austin, where she will pursue a degree in her favorite subject: biology.

     

    Trinh attended Bush Elementary and West Briar Middle schools before graduating from Westside. She enjoys painting, swimming, and creating ceramics in her spare time, and she has been recognized as an Advanced Placement Scholar with Distinction.
