Laura E. Perez was born in Mexico City, Mexico, calling Houston home since she was 6 years old. Ms. Perez graduated from Eisenhower High School in 2001 and started her education career soon after graduating high school as a teacher assistant for Aldine ISD. She began her studies in education and earned her bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston-Downtown in 2009. Ms. Perez has taught various grades and subjects in Aldine ISD and at the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. She joins HISD with over 15 years of experience and is always eager to empower families and children to be successful. She is a true believer that when working collaboratively with teachers and schools, it can impact families and increase overall student achievement.
