Houston Citizens Chamber of Commerce presents Dr. Grier with Service in Education award

HISD Superintendent of Schools Terry B. Grier accepted the “Recognition of Service in Education” award from the Houston Citizens Chamber of Commerce (HCCC) on September 20.
At the organization’s “Salute to Education” reception, HCCC President Eric Lyons committed to continued support of HISD. “We want to build the pipeline that will supply Houston’s African-American entrepreneurs of the future,” he said. “We will continue our efforts to provide college scholarships for students in the Houston area, including those from HISD.”
