Alishia Jolivette, Interim Chief Operating Officer
Alishia Jolivette is the interim chief operating officer of Business Operations. Previously serving as the officer of Facilities, Maintenance, and Operations, Jolivette began her career with HISD as a substitute clerk. She also worked as an hourly payroll clerk, customer care representative in the maintenance department, special projects analyst, and SAP Specialist for the district. She made her way back to the maintenance department and served as the IT Manager. Prior to holding the officer position, she served as the General Manager of Business Solutions for Facilities Services.
Jolivette leads a team of more than 2,000 employees and manages a budget of over $70 million. She oversees the district’s departments of maintenance for facilities and nutrition services, energy management and sustainability, facilities finance, custodial operations, grounds support, security maintenance (fire/burglar alarms, CCTV, intercoms, card access), code compliance, facilities rentals, fleet maintenance, and other related facilities and fleet business areas.
Jolivette is a graduate of the University of Houston – Downtown where she earned her bachelor’s degree in business management. She is an active member of the Americas’ SAP Users’ Group (ASUG) where she previously served as the Plant Maintenance Special Interest Group Chair for 8 years, Texas Association of School Business Officials, and SAP Enterprise Asset Management Advisory Committee. She is also the USATF Certification Chair for the Gulf Association.
