The first phase will take place during the first sesmester - Fall 2022. During this time we will be building a smart network of students. 

Why do we call it a smart network? 

We are not leaving this network up to chance - like meeting someone because they simply go to the same school as you. Instead, we are grouping students by their civic interest - in other words, how they are committed to changing the world around them for the better.  

We guage students' civic interest by using the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, also known as the Global Goals, as a framework for evaluating civic interest and helping students to connect in an impactful way. 

At the completion of Phase I, when our first round of student recruitment is complete, we will begin to connect the students virtually.

All youth diplomats will be invited to a virtual orientation in spring 2023, during which the structure and goal of the smart network and sub-networks will be outlined.
