The fall graduation ceremony for HISD's Class of 2022 was held Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022, at Delmar Fieldhouse. HISD partnered with Southern Sound to live stream the fall graduation ceremony.

Physical attendance at the ceremony will be limited. Each graduate will be able to reserve up to seven (7) guest tickets and two (2) parking passes.

To create the safest environment possible, the following COVID-19 health and safety guidelines must be followed by all staff, students, spectators, and participants: 

• Wear a face mask at all times.
• Maintain at least 6 feet of distance between yourself and others.

• In order to participate in the graduation ceremony, you must have met all graduation requirements by Friday, Jan. 21, 2022. This means that you have successfully completed the necessary credits in the appropriate courses required for graduation and state requirements.
• You must contact your home school registrar before Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022, to certify that you have met all graduation requirements.
• All seniors who will participate in the fall graduation ceremony may contact Herff Jones Graduation Center at 713-864-6464 or email their order to office@hjgradcenter.com for a cap and gown.  The cost of the cap and gown is payable in cash, credit card or money order and are keepsakes for the graduate. Herff Jones will also be at the graduation site for last minute orders.
• Students are to obtain graduation announcements on their own. Herff Jones also offers announcements and other graduation items which may be ordered online at https://www.herffjones.com.
• Prospective graduates are encouraged to arrive at the graduate assembly area by 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022.
• The graduates will line up with the assistance of a representative or registrar of the school. The representatives will lead the line of graduates from his/her school to their seats.
• Please note that all students must wear a mask/facial covering throughout the graduation ceremony.
• Graduates participating in the fall graduation ceremony are expected to exhibit the highest level of discipline and decorum when assembling, during the processional, when walking across the stage, and during the recessional. Exemplary conduct throughout the graduation exercises will make this event a most memorable occasion for you. 
• In keeping with HISD's core value of student safety, all graduates and guests will be screened using metal detectors. No cellular phones will be allowed onto the venue floor by the graduates.
