What is Blackboard?
Blackboard Web Community Manager (formerly known as Schoolwires) is a content management system that allows your department or campus to create a professional and informative public site. This platform provides tools to help maximize your web presence, including staff directories, blogs, and departmental or school calendars.
At this time, (As of February 3, 2025), webmaster training sessions are unavailable as the district transitions to a new platform. While this transition is underway, we won’t be offering training. If you need website edits or assistance, please contact the web team at web@houstonisd.org, and we’ll be happy to assist.
