HOW DO I ENROLL?

You may enroll online through HISD Connect. Click the button below to create an account, log in, and begin the application. You may also go to your selected school and complete a paper application.
Students will NOT be denied starting school if parents/guardians do not have the required documents at the campus the first week the student is in the classroom. However, the student will not have a guaranteed spot until the proper documentation is submitted.
WHAT REQUIRED DOCUMENTS DO I NEED?

Parent Identification
One of the following is required within the first week students are in school.
- Driver’s License
- Passport
- Military ID
- Other forms of valid identification

Student Identification
One of the following is required the first week students are in school.
- Birth Certificate
- Social Security Card
- Passport
- Baptismal Records
- Other forms of valid identification

Proof of Address
One of the following is required the first week students are in school.
- Current Rental Lease or Mortgage Statement
- Utility Bill (not including internet)
- Light
- Gas
- Water

Immunization Records
One of the following is required the first week students are in school.
- Doctor’s Records
- Official Record of Vaccinations

Proof of Eligibility for FREE Pre-K
One of the following is required within the first week students are in school:
- Limited English Proficient – Child must take the Pre-Las test and results will determine eligibility
- Economically Disadvantaged - Current paycheck stub, unemployment letter, disability payment stub, SNAP case #, TANF case #, or another document proving family income
- U.S. Military - Military ID
- Foster Care - Letter from Department of Family and Protective Services
