Work Order Priority

  • FACILITIES SERVICES WORK ORDER CATEGORIES
     
     
     

    PRIORITY 1- Emergency 

     

    Definition: Work that poses an immediate danger to public health and safety, may cause a disruption to normal operations, and could potentially cause catastrophic financial loss. Emergency Work Orders address the following types of problems:
    • Asbestos disturbance
    • Power outage
    • Ruptured water lines
    • Heating or air conditioning failure (to a wing of a building, a larger-than-normal area occupied, or activity area)

     

    RESPONSE TIME: Occur with 2-5 hours.  Repairs completed within 7-10 days

     

     

     

    PRIORITY 3- Routine

     

    Definition: Routine and aesthetic issues not classified as  Maintenance Repair Team  ( MRT )  or Preventative Maintenance (PM)  and have little to no impact on normal school operation. Routine work includes the following types of problems:
    • Installation of classroom boards
    • Damaged interior door locks or handles
    • Minor painting
    • Replacement/repair of a single unit ventilator
    • Replacement/repair of restroom plumbing fixtures

     

    RESPONSE TIME: Within 14 days or less, Work completed within 60 days




    PRIORITY 4- Project, Deferred and Schedule Work

     

    Definition: Work scheduled through the 90 day recurrent seeps on MRT and PM, in addition to non-urgent projects that are deferred to summer months based on accessibility issues or possible disruption to normal school operations. Deferred Work Orders include:
    • Minor painting and repairs
    • Maintenance projects scheduled for completion during summer or winter break
    • Parking lot overlays
    • Transportable building renovations

     

    RESPONSE TIME: As determined by scheduling and available funding.
