Aspiring Leaders

  • In addition to supporting our current leaders with specialized training and development opportunities, HISD also offers our aspiring leaders access to the following programs developed both internally and with our university partners:

  • Principal Academy for Collaborative Engagement (PACE): The PACE program is a principal certification program offered by HISD. The program is based on the Educational Leadership Policy Standards, the Texas Standards for Principal Certification, and HISD's School Leadership Framework of 21 leadership responsibilities and 66 associated practices.  

     
     
     
      
    School Leadership Academy: The School Leadership Academy is a year-long leadership development program designed to identify, train, and support aspiring instructional leaders to meet the district’s need for effective school leaders.
     
     
     
     
     
    University of St. Thomas MBA: The University of St. Thomas Masters in Business Educational dministration (MBEA) is a collaboration between HISD, the Cameron School of Business and the Graduate School of Education from the University of St. Thomas. 

     

     

     
     
    University of Texas Collaborative Leadership Project (UTCULP): The University of Texas Collaborative Urban Leadership Project (UTCULP) is a partnership between the HISD and The University of Texas at Austin Principalship Program.
