Description

  • Almeda Elementary School is an 86,000-square foot campus designed to replace an aging campus. The school has a new, larger library with capacity for more materials as well as all new technology throughout the school. Each classroom has new SMART Board technology and video conferencing capabilities.

The school has two new playgrounds, a state-of-the-art media center and classrooms that make great use of natural light. The school is expected to use 25 percent less energy overall and 42 percent less water. These enhancements reduce the facility's long-term operating costs.

The new facility can accommodate 750 students, more than double the previous school's capacity.
