Description

  • Berry Elementary is a new campus built with funds from the 2007 bond program. The school, built to replace a campus opened in 1950, has multiple environmental enhancements designed not only to save energy, but to bolster the environmental studies magnet program's offerings. The school effectively serves 750 students.

The new building features 90 percent natural light in highly occupied areas, as well as low-flow fixtures, automatic lights, extra insulation and more. Parts of the building feature an open design that allows students to observe how these enhancements work.

Berry Elementary also has updated technology in every classroom and multiple interactive lab areas. The school's new space also allows for more parent involvement in the day-to-day activities.
