Description

  • Frost Elementary School is a completely new building built with funds from the 2007 bond program to replace a nearly 50-year-old building.

    The 85,700-square foot school is built with additional educational opportunities in mind with design elements that can be used as teaching tools. A rainwater collection system was built as well as specially designed areas of the school used as part of the science and social studies instruction.

    There is new technology, including SMART boards, in every classroom, with labs specifically built for computer and science lessons.

Project Status

  • The campus opened to students and staff in August of 2011. Construction is complete and the 1-year warranty period is complete. Review of the project by the U.S. Green Building Certification Institute for LEED Certification is underway..
