Description

  • Lewis Elementary School is a new replacement campus built with funds from the 2007 bond program.

    Prior to the new school's opening in October 2011, it was necessary to place students in more than 20 temporary buildings. The new campus comfortably allows for more than 900 students to attend and has state-of-the-art technology in every classroom. Lewis Elementary was also built with an acoustically-designed music room and a stage with a training room for drama students.

    The school also has a large new library and new science labs.

Project Status

  • The project is complete and the new Lewis ES opened its doors to students on October 3, 2011. The punch list items have been completed and the project is in the 1-year warranty period. The project has achieved LEED SILVER Certification form the U.S. Green Building Certification Institute.
