Where do I go for Blackboard training?

Campus Websites
All HISD campuses are required to maintain an official website that includes school news, events and staff information, as well as information provided by the district. All schools are being asked to audit their school websites to ensure all information is correct and up to date, using this reference sheet and website guidelines document. HISD Communications audits school websites to ensure all checklist items are complete.
Communications also conducts mandatory training sessions for webmasters. Each principal must designate up to three campus website administrators to complete training for administrator privileges. These staff members are responsible for the routine development and maintenance of their campus webpages. Webmasters who have already completed training are exempt.
All designated campus website administrators must complete Blackboard (Schoolwires) training by going to OneSource and searching for “Blackboard.” Current website administrators who have not completed district training are subject to suspension of web permissions until training is complete.

Department Websites

All HISD departments are required to maintain an official website that includes a department overview, contact and staff information, links to subdepartment information, a calendar of events, mandatory links to forms, and departmental Twitter feed (if applicable). All departments are asked to audit their websites to ensure all information is correct and up to date, using this reference sheet and website guidelines document. HISD Communications audits department websites to ensure all checklist items are complete.
