• Supplemental Higher Education Support

To reduce the dropout rate of Emergent Bilinguals (EBs), the Multilingual Programs department coordinates a tuition voucher program for EB high school students for credit recovery. Title III, Part A will fund tuition up to two credit recovery courses for eligible high school EBs to attend adult high school at Houston Community College (HCC). Students in need of these classes should meet with their counselor, grad coach, or administrator to determine eligibility and appropriate coursework.

To apply, complete the Voucher of Tuition application and send to Rosa Gonzalez-Decou.

Classes are available during Fall, Spring, and Summer. Two sessions are offered each semester. Applications are due by February 4, 2022, to enroll in the first session and March 25, 2022, for the second session.

Please ensure the application includes all necessary information, including an HCC ID number, valid email address, and phone number. Once eligibility is confirmed by Multilingual Programs staff, the application will be sent to HCC personnel for registration. After registration, students will receive a confirmation email.

For students new to the HCC voucher process, please see the instructions on obtaining an HCC student identification number below.
