What are the benefits of joining the HISD Scholar's Network?
When you join the HISD Scholar's Network, you have the benefit of working with the Community Development Department to create scholarships that meet College and Career Readiness goals. Our team can help you create your vision or use your vision to help direct resources to our students. Each scholarship is able to be modified to fit the vision and needs of your organization. Once the scholarship has been created and finalized, the HISD team will manage the scholarship process from beginning to end. What is the process of joining the HISD Scholar's Network?
- Once your organization has been processed as a partner in our district, the Development and College Readiness team will meet with you to gather some information and find out what your organization's vision is for the scholarship.
- Using that information, our team will provide you with a scholarship agreement that outlines the scholarship purpose, scholarship general information, and the responsibilities each party has in the process.
- When the agreement has been signed and finalized, our team works on adding your organization's scholarship and information to our webpage and creating an application for the scholarship.
After everything has been finalized, our team handles and manages the rest of the process! What are the gifting options?
Your organization can commit to a one-year, three-year, or five-year scholarship. Each scholarship is renewable and can be amended at the end of it's term.
