Dr. Benjamin Jules Ed.D.
Dr. Jules is honored to have served as a Parent Liaison in the Office of Special Education Services in Houston Independent School District for the past three years. Collaborating with school leaders, teachers, staff, and psychologists during the process of addressing parent concerns including members of the RTi, section 504, and the individualized education program (IEP) teams in the district to ensure success for students receiving special education and related services has been gratifying for Dr. Jules.
Prior to transitioning into his current role, Dr. Jules career in education has also consisted of working as a general music teacher and band director in Houston ISD. in addition to serving as a General Equivalency Degree instructor in the Adult Education department at Houston Community College.
Prior to entering the field of education Dr. Jules worked with homeless youth at Covenant House Texas as youth counselor in the Boys Rights of Passage Program. Dr. Jules strongly believes the actions of developing meaningful relationships with students, parents, school leaders, and staff to be the key ingredient for obtaining successful retention of students and positive academic outcomes.
Dr. Jules is a native Houstonian. His educational accomplishments consist of a BA in Music Education from Texas Southern University, MEd - Educational Leadership and Ed.D. - Educational Leadership from the University of St. Thomas – Houston, Texas. Dr. Jules strongly believes education is the key that will assist students in the process of obtaining their lifelong dreams and goals. Likewise, the various experiences will empower them with the ability to address, navigate, and overcome life challenges in a positive manner.
