• Happy National Principals Month

  • Dear HISD Community,

October is National Principals Month, and at HISD we all are honored to celebrate our district principals in many ways.

This month, HISD is encouraging students, parents, staff, and community members to honor and thank district principals by printing one of our custom e-cards, which are downloadable below. You can include a message to give to your school leader, display on your campus, and post on social media.

We will also be showcasing a few of our principals throughout the month on social media and at HoustonISD.org. Starting Monday, Oct. 4, every campus will take part in a "Spirit Week" to honor our principals. Please be sure to tag @HoustonISD on social media.

As leaders of their campuses, principals are responsible for fostering a positive climate and culture at our schools. Our HISD principals go the extra mile to ensure the greatest outcomes for students. I have met with many principals already, and I have seen a group of caring, energetic, and driven individuals doing what is best for their students and staff.

When you have time, please enjoy the videos on this page to help start our celebration.

Let's show our principals exactly how much we appreciate their hard work for our students!

    Sincerely,
