    The HISD Media Relations Department coordinates news coverage of the school district and is responsible for overseeing official communications between the school system and the news media. The department provides story ideas to media outlets (i.e., newspaper, television, web, radio) and helps arrange appropriate interviews. The office also provides assistance and advice to school administrators regarding effective relations with the news media.
