2021 Summer Meals

  • No-Cost Healthy Summer Meals Beginning Friday, June 18In-School Meals
    All HISD summer school students receive no-cost breakfast and lunch daily at school. Weekend meals also will be provided on the last day of each week for students to take home and eat over the weekend.

    Curbside Pickup
    Weekly curbside student meal pickup is available at select campuses. At the end of each week, families can go to designated locations from 2 to 4 p.m. to pick up student meals for the weekend, as well as hand sanitizer and reusable masks. 

    The first curbside pickup is Friday, June 18. Students will receive two days’ worth of breakfast and lunch for the weekend.

    All other summer curbside pickups will be held on Thursdays to better align with the district’s summer work schedule. Thursday distributions will provide students with three days’ worth of breakfast and lunch to eat over the weekend. 

    The program is slated to run through the end of summer school.

    Apartment Complex Curbside Pickup
    Available daily through Friday, Aug. 20, 2021, at a rotating list of apartment complexes.

    Neighborhood Supersites
    The Neighborhood Supersite community food and household supplies distribution program is closed.

    Note: Competitive food sales — including food sold by schools, parent groups, booster clubs, and outside vendors — is prohibited.
